This course covers EU energy market integration, focusing on energy security, policies, competition laws, and the EU Energy Policy’s governance and global dimensions.

Description

Learning objectives:

  • The main objective of this course is to provide knowledge on the main stages of the integration and evolution of the energy market at European level, based on the specifics of the economic and political environment.
  • A special focus should be energy security, on the analysis of the main policies, programs and instruments, along with the analysis of the effects of EU single energy market.
  • Student will learn about the fundamental pillars of the EU Energy policy, from its governance and internal elements to its global and multi-sectoral dimension.
  • At the same time, the course is addressing competition policies, such as antitrust and state aid.
