This course focuses on developing strategic thinking and decision-making for financing and developing energy sector projects, emphasizing financial analysis, investment performance, and environmental protection.

Description

The aim of this course is to develop a strategic thinking and selection capacity for adoption of decisions on financing and development of projects in the energy sector. Knowledge on general finance, financial analysis and investments performance shall be provided, along with the specifics of financing sources. It will provide a in-depth approach for making investment decisions and their implementation in conditions of environmental protection and conservation.

Learning objectives:

  • Understand and use of the basic concepts and approaches in the field: knowledge and understanding of basic principles and concepts, aimed towards understanding the information used in financial and managerial accounting through the exercise of professional judgment;
  • Knowledge development & understanding of main concepts related to Financial Accounting, understanding of accounting framework and evaluation of consolidated financial reports;
  • Acquiring skills and competencies related to financial analysis and interpreting financial indicators;
  • Understanding the main tools of managerial accounting and using them for taking managerial decisions;
  • Using accounting information within various managerial reports.
